Like the RV Site area, the tent camping area is partially wooded and also at the other end of the tree tunnel. It occupies its own area separated from the RV Site area. It consists of a large squarish loop with 25 sites that are surrounded by hardwood hammock forests and wetlands. For tent campers, there are 6 communal water spigots and 4 communal trash cans. Each site is equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The tent camping area is called Indian Ridge because it was a popular site chosen for Native American encampments due to its slightly higher elevation.

Rates PRIMITIVE CAMPING IS $26.00 + TAX PER NIGHT PER TWO PEOPLE.  IF THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE PER SITE IT IS $5.00 EXTRA PER HEAD*. Plus Tax PRIMITIVE CAMPING PER WEEK IS $177.00 PER + TAX FOR TWO PEOPLE. EACH EXTRA HEAD IS $20* Plus Tax 352-382-2200 FOR RV AND TENT CAMPING Peak season runs from November 1st to April 1st *CHILDREN 12 AND YOUNGER GET IN FOR FREE.
